Opportunities
As we approach the Holiday Season, it is incumbent upon each of us to reflect on how we can give and help others who are less fortunate. As a family, let’s demonstrate a spirit of giving and an attitude of service to the most vulnerable in our community. Tapp Family, please give and encourage your students and parents to give to the 4 service projects below.

- Reflections of Trinity Food Bank is in need of our help for their Thanksgiving Day Event. The event will take place on Saturday, November 17th from 8am-3:30pm at 4037 Austell Powder Springs Rd SW, Powder Springs, GA 30127. The goal of the Thanksgiving Day Event is to feed 600 ( hundred needy families in the Powder Springs Community. They are currently only 14 sponsors short of feeding 600 families. The cost to sponsor a family is $25 dollars. Any donation you can provide to help feed these families for the Holiday is greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you would like to help. - We are partnering with the Powder Springs Police Department to assist with their “Cops with Beards”. The funds collected will be used to adopt 2-3 families for the Holiday. We are asking teachers/staff, students, and parents to donate change to assist in this worthy endeavor. Students will collect the change at the Tiger Pole each morning starting November 14th- December 1st. The goal is $200. Help the students exceed their goal and bring much needed joy to these families during the Holidays.
- We are partnering with the Powder Springs Task Force to assist with their Toys for Tots Program. We are asking teachers/staff, students, and parents to donate books (picture books or books for elementary and middle grade readers) or school supplies. The items will be used as stocking stuffers for elementary and middle school students. Homeroom teachers, please give students Pawsatives for their act of service. Please collect the items and have a responsible student place them in the Toys for Tots Box in your grade level TPA.
- We are also partnering with the non-profit organization On My Mother's Shoulders to provide toiletry items to our school community and homeless college students. We will be collecting: soap, wash cloths, toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion, Q-tips, deodorant, feminine products, wipes, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, and hand sanitizer.
